Experienced Female Support Worker

Support is required over weekends only, Friday 5pm-Sunday 5pm

An opportunity has arisen for a support worker to join a new team in the Redruth area.

Required to support a friendly lady in her mid 40's with autism

Support is given within the ladies’s privately owned home close to Redruth city centre and in the community. The lady is supported at a ratio of 2:1 staff at all times.

We are currently seeking staff to fulfil a number of positions within this team. Waking nights and day shifts plus sleep in.


Assistance is required with daily living needs. The lady requires assistance with meal preparation, shopping and accessing her local community, as well as keeping her home environment clean and tidy.

  • Reporting to: The Registered Manager

  • Adhering to the Code of Conduct for Social Care Workers

  • Protecting the confidentiality of all information relating to the service user

  • Respecting the privacy and dignity and beliefs of the service user at all times

  • Carrying out duties in a courteous, caring and sympathetic manner

  • Communicating any changes in health or emotional wellbeing of the service user to the Team Leader.

  • Maintaining accurate records in respect of care given, tasks undertaken and financial transactions.

  • Participating in team meetings and care reviews when necessary

  • The lady is mobile and self-caring but needs prompts and encouragement to achieve some daily living skills.


The successful candidate will need access to their own vehicle,a full clean driver’s license and business insurance to facilitate outings.

Experience of care or support work with an autistic client group for a minimum of 1 year


  • All mandatory and specialised training is provided free of charge

  • Weekly pay

  • £9 per hour for day shift, £7.50 per hour for sleep in support, £11per hour for night shifts

  • Holiday pay is paid at 5 .6 weeks per annum
