ABOUT THIS ROLE Audible is seeking a Senior Director of Finance in a fixed term contractor role, reporting to the Head of Global Finance & Accounting. This role serves as a senior stakeholder that will work closely with the UK/CA business leadership and their core functional senior leaders, including local Country Managers and Content teams, to support, grow and scale Audible's business globally. This position is located in our UK office and will be a critical and integrated business partner responsible for financial planning and analytics. You will translate rapid business growth to operational support needs and financial implication and provide decision support for initiatives focused on supporting growth across multiple businesses and geographies while delivering best in class customer experience. You have the ability to build trust and confidence and demonstrate sound judgement in your work. As a Senior Director of Finance, you will
• Partner with UK/CA Regional leadership teams to define and deliver business solutions as we move to a global product offering structure and re-establish local content hubs.
• Work with senior UK/CA leadership and Country Managers on long term strategic plan and translate strategic initiatives into multi-year roadmap.
• Own and coordinate all aspects of FP&A processes, including long range financial forecast, annual operating plan and quarterly guidance across products and territories.
• Provide in-depth financial management, analysis and strategic insights to UK/CA leadership, SVP Finance and CFO.
• Support the UK/CA Country Managers of all Audible services by leading all aspects of financial modeling and analysis and advising Country Managers, SVP Finance, and the CFO on investments and initiatives that drive business growth and profitability by evaluating LTV, ROI and other key financial metrics.
• In conjunction with the SVP, Finance and International business leadership, create global standards for financial reporting, processes, financial controls, and P&L management.
• Conduct analysis on new business initiatives to help UK/CA business leadership determine financial feasibility and prepare dynamic scenario analysis to facilitate discussion when faced with economic trade-offs.
• Synthesize large datasets to consumable executive summaries for stakeholders.
• Build and develop relationships with functional senior leaders and regional business and finance peers. Basic qualifications
• M.A., B.A. or B.S in Finance or Accounting.
• 10 years of increasingly senior finance experience.
• Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis. Experience using data, metrics and insights to drive business results.
• Superior experience with Excel and complex financial modeling. Preferred qualification
• Strong relationship builder with ability to influence outside of reporting lines, preferably through international or overseas experience.
• CPA or MBA.
• Prior experience in Subscription, Ecommerce, Media, Entertainment and Digital.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and ideas in a non-technical, simple manner across different levels and geographies of an organization.
• High level of curiosity/passion for learning about new products/people/market segments.
• Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment across a wide range of cultures.
• Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach.
• Resourceful self-starter with an independent attitude and focus on excellence.
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical capabilities with ability to model new growth scenarios to help business partners make sound financial decisions.
• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, growing and ambiguous environment.
