Our Central Services teams support Pinnacle's operating businesses by providing professional support to the operational business including: Compliance and Audit, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Health and Safety. The Role - Senior Management Accountant Reporting to the Finance Director the Senior Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely management accounting information. Duties/Key Responsibilities
• Produce accurate and meaningful monthly Management Accounts in accordance with agreed timescales, liaising with Operation to provide commercial oversight and commentary.
• Provide support to the Finance Director via analysis and commentary of monthly results, reporting on significant adverse variances to budget - with explanations and recommendations to overcome.
• Produce the Monthly Finance Report.
• Supply key management information to contract managers to ensure they are constantly aware of performance against expectations and can focus attention on key areas of concerns and/or key opportunities for improvement.
• Provided financial literacy support and regular training packages to operational contract managers.
• Maintain the Group Business Model and Cash Flow Model - regular reporting on all variances, analysing trends - taking a forward looking perspective and assisting with "what-if" scenarios.
• Develop and report on key "metrics" across the business.
• Own the annual budget, forecasts, and business planning reporting processes.
• Assist with the reconciliation between statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Carry out ad-hoc duties as directed by the Finance Director. Skills Required
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA)
• Extensive experience/knowledge of Accounting Software packages.
• Excellent IT skills (MS Office suite)
