Our client have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Forklift Truck (FLT) driver - Warehouse Operative to join their Warehouse team in Aldershot. In the important role, the successful candidate will be responsible for loading/unloading vehicles and managing the movement of goods in line with Company Health and Safety and operational standards. Key duties include:
• Receiving incoming raw materials and unloading these.
• Locating and preparing raw materials ready for Production colleague to use.
• Taking finished goods from the warehouse and loading on to vehicles so that they are ready to be despatched to our customers on time and in full.
• Reporting loading issues to the relevant manager.
• Complying with health and safety standards and reporting any near misses or incidents in accordance with Company Policy.
• Operate in line with best practice standards for performance and quality and report any issues in line with Company Policy. Candidates will need to demonstrate the following:
• Current, valid forklift license
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow all safe systems of work
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn. The role will be on a full time, permanent basis. Hours are 8am to 5.30pm with an unpaid meal break of 30 minutes. The starting rate for this role is £10.20 per hour. The closing date for this vacancy is 6th June 2022.
