Job description The key purpose of a Business Partner is to support ISS business leaders to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for services. The Business Partner is responsible for providing dedicated, commercial, and financial decision support aligned to strategic and customer priorities, to win good business and improve shareholder value. The Finance Business Partner will support a Senior Business Partner/ Finance Director to challenge assumptions, influence decisions and make recommendations for efficiency improvements to sustain growth Key responsibilities
• Accountable for the accuracy of financial records, compliance, business financial plans and forecasts and mange month end processes including P&L and Balance Sheet management
• Support business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations.
• Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract / service performance including scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarking.
• Support the contract strategy through contractual change control notifications and liaison with the account management regarding reconciliation of spend and changes to service delivery, changes to buildings / assets / sites / locations / other changes.
• Support business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over and under delivery, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations.
• Working closely with the account teams to ensure optimisation of processes and spend as well as an accurate and consistent approach to profitable growth.
• Develop customer relationships to support successful commercial and financial negotiations regarding variable revenue, rebids, and change notices. In addition, mange key contract deliverable / contractual financial commitments (e.g., reconciliations and reporting) for the client in line with the contract.
• Proactive identification, assessment, and management of financial and commercial risks Professional and personal competencies/qualifications
• Extensive experience working in a Finance organisation, preferably within a similar industry
• Experience in a similar role within a multi-site business is desirable
• Capability of adding value in a commercially orientated bidding and contracting environment.
• Evidence of strong understanding of the importance of process and control within Commercial.
• Evidence of ability to influence, negotiate, listen, and resolve conflicts with decision makers
• Ability to highlight problems, offer practical solutions, and support their execution
• Commercial acumen, as well as experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business value drivers.
• Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other key stakeholders.
• Evidence of building trust with a team; allowing direct conversations and not sanitising message
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience of having worked successfully in a virtual team.
