We are looking to recruit an indoor Finishing Pig Stockperson for a farm in North Yorkshire (YO61).
The farmer operates a mixed farm that includes pigs, sheep, cattle, and arable.
The chosen candidate will be involved with 10,000 finishing pigs (from 45 kilos to bacon) based on three units-all straw-based.
Ideally, the applicant will need:
- 1 + years of experience in commercial pigs or Livestock experience
- Good Farm Machinery skills
- Have a driving license and a car
The candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Commitment & passion for the pig industry
- Motivation to achieve good results
- High welfare standards
- Have good experience of Forklift/JCB/Tractor with straw blower across all units
Salary: £13 - £14 per hour DOE
Plus: Single-person accommodation is available, or candidates can commute to YO61.
