Van Walt Ltd are a 42‐year old established business in the Environmental Sector based in Grayswood, Haslemere, Surrey
A vacancy is now available in our Rental Department for a full time colleague. Rentals primarily include groundwater sampling and monitoring equipment ‐ this role includes preparing and calibrating equipment daily for sending to site and making good the equipment once returned.
Repairs of rental items and customer’s own equipment, fault finding, customer support.
In addition to this, the rental department is responsible for manufacturing our own environmental pump, training customers in the use of the equipment, packing and dispatch, receipt and management of inwards stock.
The opportunity has also arisen to expand this role to assist with site installations as and when they occur, primarily in the UK.
Rental, Repairs Technician and Site Installations
Role: Mainly office based but with some off site support
‐ Preparation of rental equipment in/out
‐ Equipment repairs
‐ Fault finding
‐ Repairs planning and costing
‐ Stocktakes
‐ Customer facing (training, support etc)
‐ Equipment builds
‐ Goods in/out processing (Packing, logging in etc)
‐ Off site ‐ Field work/site installations
Experience: Whereas extensive training will be given, an ideal candidate would have some experience and aptitude for:
‐ Showing attention to detail
‐ Mechanical engineering skills
‐ An aptitude and curiosity for problem solving
‐ Willingness to work as part of a team
‐ Willingness to learn
‐ IT literate
‐ Full, clean UK driving license
Salary: Salary will be dependant on the skill set and experience of the candidate but will range from £25,000 ‐ £ 35,000 per year gross.
Hours of work: 08:30 to 17:00
