SALES & MARKETING MANAGER - Immediate start. Part/full time considered. Freelance may apply.

This is a newly created role providing the unique opportunity to make a massive impact within a growing small team, suited to an experienced manager with deep B2B connections within the horticultural industry.

You will be responsible for

  • the planning and implementation of bespoke sales and marketing initiatives that aim to drive new business and growth within specialist regenerative Horticulture areas (with potential for expansion into Agriculture).

  • building relationships within the mainstream, high-end retail sector with oversight of National Horticultural events, both trade and other pertinent partnering events throughout the calendar year. 

  • gathering leads, pitching and securing contracts with suitable stockists, growing the size of CRM and building face to face opportunities with potential B2B stockists. 

  • directly managing the website ensuring smooth functionality, product listings, and user experience.

  • developing and leading the company’s advertorial strategy, relationship building with all relevant editorials & securing articles.

  • delivering a customer-centred seamless experience, driving a high level of customer sales satisfaction.

  • has an interest in horticulture & links within that field.

  • loves to problem solve and is approachable, communicative and confident with new relationships and driving sales.

  • is able to manage data and create sales opportunities, building a strong customer base.

  • has experienced capabilities of growing business and in turn driving the set up and development of this role into a fantastic career.   

  • will know how to work with a Social Media Marketing Specialist to develop, define and own the digital marketing strategy across all ecommerce, B2B, wholesale, marketplace and D2C. 

  • can develop and lead the company’s eCommerce strategy and be responsible for delivering custom trading via the website & establishing a presence on other sales platforms.

  • is passionate about (organic regenerative) horticulture & has connections within the related industries

  • experienced as an ecommerce manager.

  • proven experience in B2B ecommerce management and online selling, with a strong track record of increasing online sales and customer satisfaction.

  • knowledge of ecommerce platforms and related tools.

  • team management skills.

  • strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data to make informed decisions.

  • strong leadership, project management and organisational skills.

  • communication skills.

  • can identify emerging trends, technologies, and customer preferences to enhance the online buying experience.
