Job Brief: Site Manager Fire Risk Assessment Focus

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager with strong knowledge of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) procedures to oversee site operations and ensure full compliance with fire safety regulations. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day site activities while taking a lead role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating fire risks across the project or facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure site activities adhere to safety and compliance standards.

  • Conduct and manage fire risk assessments (FRA) in accordance with legal requirements (e.g., Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in the UK, or relevant national guidelines in your region).

  • Identify fire hazards and evaluate existing fire prevention measures.

  • Develop and implement action plans for fire safety improvements and monitor follow-up.

  • Ensure proper fire safety signage, access routes, and emergency exits are maintained.

  • Collaborate with HSE teams, fire safety consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.

  • Train site personnel in fire safety awareness and emergency response protocols.

  • Maintain documentation of FRA reports, audits, and corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and facilities teams to ensure fire-safe working practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally in construction, facilities management, or property maintenance.

  • Certification or formal training in Fire Risk Assessment (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety, IFE, IFSM, or equivalent).

  • Strong knowledge of local fire safety legislation and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to write clear reports and communicate fire safety risks and solutions.

  • First Aid, CSCS/SMSTS (or regional equivalent) desirable.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with passive and active fire protection systems.

  • Experience in residential, commercial, or high-risk buildings (e.g., hospitals, high-rise, industrial).

  • Comfortable using fire risk assessment software and digital reporting tools.
