Full Job Description:

  • Shift Patterns: Rotating schedule, including 4 weeks of nights (4 PM-2 AM) and 1 week of days (8 AM-6 PM)
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of street lighting systems, including LED upgrades, lamp replacements, and fault finding.
  • Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting of streetlight electrical issues using wiring schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Carry out electrical testing to ensure streetlight systems are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Install, connect, and maintain electrical wiring for street lighting circuits and related control systems.
  • Respond promptly to reports of outages or faults, ensuring swift resolution to minimize disruption.
  • Work on a variety of public and private sector projects, including roads, highways, and pedestrian zones.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, regulations, and client specifications.

Requirements

  • 18th Edition Certification
  • NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
  • AM2 Qualification
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection Certification
  • Experience working on street lighting or similar outdoor electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Full UK Driving License
