Join Our Clients Dynamic Team as a Test Engineer in Staverton, Gloucester!

Our client is looking for a Test Engineer to join their team in Staverton, Gloucester. Working closely with manufacturing and engineering disciplines you will be required to ensure all LV Switchgear and Control Panels are functionally correct and manufactured to the project drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute testing activities safely and timely.
  • Maintain adherence to quality control procedures and safe working practices.
  • Ensure correct and timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Guarantee that all manufactured products meet the relevant quality standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and confidence during testing in the presence of internal or external customers.
  • Host Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) professionally and on time.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings accurately, assembling components and assisting with production tasks.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation support, fault diagnosis, testing, and commissioning.
  • Perform remedial work and design modifications based on testing findings.
  • Record and execute punch list tasks after completing customer acceptance tests.
  • Maintain effective communication within the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good experience in testing high-spec LV Switchboards, Control Panels, and associated equipment.
  • Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is favorable.
  • Previous experience in fault finding and diagnosis within the control systems industry.
  • Experience in testing Electronic Protection Relays, Generator Control Systems, and associated communication systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of programming controllers such as PLCs and transducers or understanding the operation of a controller is beneficial.
  • Hold a current ECS Health, Safety, and Environmental Assessment (preferable).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
